NO, sealant,screws or tape should not be used to secure any connections on Z-vent pipe. The hi-temp gasketed end of the pipe is enough for a tight connection.

Using screws will cause a leak of deadly carbon monoxide gas.

Any type of tape is not suggested,the pipe has the UL listing without using any additional fastners.
